Danilo Danko Pravica (1949 - 2015)


Born: Mostar, Former Yugoslavia

Studies and Professional Experience:

1971 – 1973 Graduated at the Fine Art Teaching Academy in Split, former Yugoslavia
1974 – 2013 Full and part time teaching of painting and printmaking in former Yugoslavia, Germany and Western Australia
1975 – 2008 57 solo exhibitions and more than 200 group exhibitions in former Yugoslavia, Germany, France and Australia
1978 – 1997 Theatre scenic designer in Mostar and Berlin
1986 Scholarship for residence in Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris
1992 – 1997 Lived and worked in Berlin, Germany
1992 Artist in Residence in Druckwerkstatt Bethanien, Berlin
1993 – 1997 Gallery manager of Sued-Ost-Europa Kultur Zentrum in Berlin
1997 Since January 1997 he lives and works in Perth, Australia
1997 Artist in Residence at Claremont School of Arts
